EVERYTHING I PURCHASED FROM BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES IN 2022

Last year, I shared everything I purchased from Black owned business in 2021. I continued to support many of those businesses in 2022 – Dorese Jenae Portraits, Black Girl Sunscreen, etc. This year, the list will focus on businesses that I supported that were not included in the 2021 list or were new to me.

MANIFEST YOUR PURPOSE

I shared earlier in the year about my love for this sweatshirt. It’s so comfortable and has an inspiring message of unity. The shop has other apparel and items to add to your cart.

ALL ITEMS INCLUDED IN 30 DAYS OF AFRICAN PRINT

For 30 days, I styled African print items for 30 different occasions. Each of those unique, pieces was from a store owned by a Black woman.

KRAFTED KOLLECTION

I discovered Krafted Kollection when I was a hair model for my stylist last year. The simplicity of the message is what captured my attention. I needed to add more graphic t-shirts to my collection, and I’m happy I found a new store to shop from.

BEAUTY BAKERIE

I didn’t know that Beauty Bakerie was a Black owned beauty brand. It was a new to me brand for the year, and I just loved that some of their items are named after pastries and other food items. Mon Cheri is one of my favorite red lips that I love at the moment.

TARGET COLLECTIONS

Target is one of my favorite stores. It’s a one stop shop for quality items you didn’t know you needed. The thing I love about Target is making Black owned businesses more accessible. Target is a store that I can quickly run into to purchase some of my favorite Black owned items. Target also collaborates with luxury brands to make them more accessible to your average shopper. Last year, I purchased from Tabatha Brown, Khalana Barfield Brown, and Sergio Hudson‘s collections.

BOOKS BY BLACK AUTHORS

I did a lot of reading last year, a total of 27 books! Many of which were written by Black authors. I created a list of books that I read last year, and past years, for you to choose your next book.

BLACK COFFEE LOUNGE

824 ELM STREET

blaCk Coffee Lounge is a local Black owned coffee shop that has been a great spot for me this year for lots of meetings or a coworking space with a few coworkers. It’s always great vibes every time I go. This is it if you’re looking for a great spot for work or lounging.

AMAZON DROP COLLECTIONS

Since I was introduced to Amazon Drop by Signed Blake, I have wanted to shop these collections. Blake has had 3 collections, and I missed each one because the items I wanted were sold out. I’m glad I didn’t give up hope because I was able to score items from High Low Luxxe (my styling), Tenicka Boyd (my styling), and Monroe Steele‘s (my styling) collections.

ANY BLACK BUSINESSES I SHOULD ADD TO MY LIST FOR THIS YEAR?
