REBECCA ALLEN SHOE REVIEW: THE TWO STRAP

This is a new to me brand. When I was prepping for the wedding and looking for a nude shoe that would go with everything and also be something that would last me a while, I was not very happy with the results. I stumbled across the Rebecca Allen brand during Black History Month – when all the businesses wanna promote and showcase their Black designers – then disappear them until next year but that’s a convo for another time. I was very happy that I was to find a nude that actually matched my skin tone, not that beige mess that the fashion industry likes to say is nude. Anyways, here’s my review of the two strap shoe.

SIZING

While these Nude I are the first shoe I’ve purchased from Rebecca Allen, I found the two strap shoe to be true to size for me. I’m typically a size 9 in shoes. Depending on the cut, I could go half a size up or down. The footbed is rounded, which means, for me, that 9s will work for my feet.

COMFORT & STYLE

The Nude I is a 4″ heel which gives me the extra height my 5’4″ self is always craving. However, the few times that I’ve worn these shoes for more than 1 hour, they have hurt my feet. I think, though, this will be solved by adding Dr. Schultz’s Foot Cushion. These shoes are giving Stuart Weitzman vibes which I absolutely love and mean they were a must buy in my book.

PRICE POINT

Considering that the Stuart Weitzman sandals cost $475, the Two Strap – at $185 – are a real bargain. Honestly, the cost per wear is worth it because you can wear them with anything, the quality is amazing, and it’s Black owned. You can’t find similar quality shoes less than this.

FINAL VERDICT

If you’re looking for another Black brand to support, I highly recommend this brand. Their website has a wide range of nudes matching folks’ skin tones. They are high-quality shoes with a price point that is a great match for the price.
