And we’re back. Shooting on rooftops and color blocking. This was my first shoot with my new photographer, Megan, so it was fitting that I decided to style my first purchase from Amazon‘s The Drop collection. If you’ve never heard of The Drop, Amazon tapped influencers to create limited-release collections based on their style and what’s hot in fashion. Some of my favorite influencers have had collections but HighLowLuxxe, aka Jenee’, collection was the first time I actually pulled the trigger and purchased something.

THE FIT
I made this purchase because I loved the color and cut of the pants that Jenee’ designed. The lavender, in my opinion, can be worn all year, and the high waist and wide leg design are classic in nature. I must admit I was a bit hestiant to order these beacuse of the length. I didn’t want them to be too short – not that my 5’4 self has anything to worry about that. I’m happy to report that the pants cover my feet when I’m standing.
I also love the baggy design pants because my thighs have room to breathe! Honestly, these pants completely changed my mind about how I think about baggy pants. As someone with big thighs, it’s quite rare for me to wear pants that don’t make my thighs feel so restricted.
STYLING THE DROP PANTS
Styling these pants has been quite easy. Since it’s been warm, I’ve found that colorblocking is the easiest way to style these pants. Whenever I’ve styled it casually, I’ve done pastel colors that wor with the lavender. I’ve also styled it for work and added neutral colors to make the pants the start of the show.
Due to the nature of these limited collections, once the collection goes live, you only have 30 hours to buy whatever you want. So, unfortunately, these pants are no longer available for you to purchase, but I tried my best to find a few options that are similar to them.
