TRANSITIONING TO SPRING WITH GREEN

THINGS THAT DORESE DID?! THAT. These photos are everything! Okay!? If you’re looking for a model, my booking information can be found here. 😂 Spring is officially here, yet winter won’t let us be great. It flurried this weekend. But I’m not gonna let this stop me from embracing all the spring is bringing. Even though spring is taking its sweet time, it doesn’t mean I’m not going to start dressing like spring is here. One color I’ve been seeing everywhere is the color green. And it’s the perfect color to add to your wardrobe if it’s not a color you typically wear. Here are some tips to help you transition to spring with green.

THE RIGHT SHADE OF GREEN

There are so many variations of the color green. The best way to find the right shade is to look for the one that works for your complexion. For me, I know any shade of green will work for me. But because it’s spring, I went for a green that looks like the color of the leaves on the trees.

COMPLEMENTARY COLORS

Y’all know I love a good yellow and green look – last seen here. So it’s no surprise that I would pair these colors again. But if yellow and green aren’t your fancy, you can add any complementary color that goes with green.

COMBINING GREEN WITH NEUTRALS

If you would prefer to let green be the stand-out color, adding neutral colors to your look is a great way to transition to spring with green. Green would be great with any neutral including, black, brown, navy, or white.

WINTER ELEMENTS

As I said earlier, winter is still sticking around for a little bit. So, incorporating boots and a coat will help you stay comfortable when you leave the house. When we look at these photos, it was a really warm day – it was 65 – making it earlier to put this outfit together without being too cold.

ADD PRINTS

I love a good print, especially if it’s leopard. And I think green – especially this shade of green – and leopard would pair great. If you’re not a fan of leopard print, I think any other print – snake, polka dot, stripes, zebra, gingham, or whatever print you like – would go well with green because prints are usually in a neutral color.
