OLD NAVY WIDELEG PANTS TWO WAYS

I realized that I don’t have a ton of work clothes that fit my lifestyle right now. All of the work clothes I own are either way too casual that I used to wear as a grad assistant in grad school or way too formal or don’t fit from when I worked at UC. Now that I have more obligations to meet with folks off of zoom and in person, I find it a little more difficult to look and feel presentable. So, I’m on a mission to rebuild my wardrobe staples and workwear. When I saw the wideleg pants at Old Navy, I knew needed to be in my closet because they would be versatile to wear for work and casually.

QUICK REVIEW OF OLD NAVY’S WIDELEG PANTS

I never know what to expect from Old Navy pants. Sometimes I need to size up or down depending on the fit and whether it’s made for cury women. These pants, though, are high waist and true to size. When I put on the pants, the material feels like jeans, but they are a bit softer than jeans. I also appreciate the fit. The widelleg flares out and provides enough room for my thighs, so they don’t feel like they are being suffocated. The more that I’ve worn them, the looser they feel.

It also can’t hurt that these Old Navy wideleg pants are on trend for the fall. Wideleg pants are in. And I know they may not be on your radar, or you’re feeling a bit apprehensive about the trend, but if you’re curvier on the bottom like I am, wideleg pants are your friend.

A CASUAL WORK LOOK

I’ve actually worn this exact look to meeting with community partners. I feel so comfortable yet professional at the same time. Since I work from home, I find myself reaching for work clothes that look great but also makes me feel comfortable and confident. Because of the proportions, I decided to keep the color scheme pretty basic and only add one pop of color instead of doing color blocking (crazy, I know).

COOL GIRL VIBES FOR FALL

What’s fall without a cool leather jacket and graphic tees? I bought this shirt from a vendor when I was a hair model for my stylist, and it’s definitely one of my favorites. This shirt is so soft and comfortable to wear and I get all the compliments whenever I wear this shirt.

My favorite way to fall-ify any look is to add a leather jacket. With an empowering message, I decided to embrace the cool girl look. This is super easy to replicate, so give it a try.
