WHY GINGHAM IS ALWAYS IN STYLE

Gingham, outside of leopard, is one of my favorite print patterns. Every time I see clothes in gingham, I rush to purchase them. Whenever there are hints of spring in the year, I definitely start reaching for all things gingham. I understand that this pattern is not everyone’s favorite but I would like to make the argument that it is for everyone and why it’s always in style.

GINGHAM IS A STAPLE

Gingham is always in style because it’s a staple print. This print was first introduced as early as the 17th century and has been recurring ever since. So, if it hasn’t gone out of style yet, I don’t think it will.

GINGHAM GOES WITH EVERYTHING

Literally. The grid pattern and the white that’s always the second color is the reason why it’s a neutral print and goes with everything. You can make it the stand-out item of your look, incorporate it with pattern mixing, or pair it with just about any color imaginable.

THERE’S A COLOR FOR EVERYONE

The thing I love most about this pattern is that I’ve seen it in just about every color wave. Meaning? There’s a color for everyone. If you’re hesitant about picking up this pattern, I guarantee that you can find this print in your favorite color.

OUTFIT DETAILS

This randomly warm day in March is the reason I have on a backless dress. The temperature hit 75 and I was sweating like crazy. I was truly happy to have some relief for the last outfit we shot that day. This dress was something I purchased last year at the end of summer when everything was on sale and forgot to wear it on the Puerto Rico or Mexico trips that I took last year. But don’t be shocked when you see me outside with this dress on this year because it is everything.
