#CURRENTLYCANCAN VOL 16

This year has been long yet short, wonderful yet weird, relaxing yet stressful. Almost forgot we started the year with an insurrection. ๐Ÿ™ƒ I can’t believe Christmas is tomorrow and 2022 is next week. So, I’m wrapping up the year with this last post rounding up the last month or so. I still have a few more Instagram posts for the year so be sure to follow me. I’m also always pinning on Pinterest so definitely join me if you aren’t already. I pray that your holiday season is full of love, joy, laughter, and light. I can’t wait to see y’all in the new year. ๐Ÿงก

01. MEXICO

I went to Mexico the weekend after my birthday and it was everything I needed to close out the rest of the year. Warm weather, drinking and eating all I wanted, and lounging by the beach and pool was the perfect birthday celebration. The last time I was in Mexico was my trip to Tulum in 2018. I was so happy to be back on Mexican soil. Also, this was the first time that I took a trip out of the country that close to my birthday, and I can’t say I hate it. This might be a new tradition for me to be on somebody’s beach directly on or after my birthday. The only negative is I came back with the most mosquitoes bites I’ve ever had at one time. I think the mosquitoes were making up for the bites I didn’t get the last 2 summers. ๐Ÿฅด

02. OMARICRON

The new variant – Omicron – is out and acting a fool. There have been so many new cases this week that it’s giving 2020 vibes. So it’s back to quarantine and hibernation time until Spring arrives. I always wear a mask when I leave the house but don’t be surprised if you see me doubling up and only catch me in club crib cause I ain’t going nowhere that’s not necessary. Even though I’m fully vaccinated and boosted, I don’t play no games when it comes to getting COVID. Mostly because I absolutely hate being sick. Really. I’m like a man when I get sick, can’t do nothing but complain. But also I value my super sniffer and the ability to taste food. Some friends I know that got COVID still have not fully regained those senses.

03. THE INTERNET IS STILL UNDEFEATED

Y’all know what time it is. If you’re not sure what this is about, catch up on previous ones here and here. Iโ€™ve been looking forward to sharing some of the items that Iโ€™ve stumbled across this month.

  • There are so many great things about being Liberian, but this captures it all in a nutshell. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  • As we enter our Junior year of COVID, we decided to reminsce on how none of use know what we were doing at the beginning of COVID.
  • Because there is a clear difference between a doctor and a dahtor! Part 1 and 2 ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  • The most relatable natural hair thread! If you ever wondered what it was like being natural, here’s a sneak peak. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  • Because your hands like to be so disrespectful when winter comes. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  • It’s why I’m only refering to the new variant as Omaricron.
  • Cause my mom always got something to say when I’m in the kitchen.
