BEAUTY REVIEW – 6 NEW PRODUCTS I’VE TRIED

As I’ve said before, I’m fairly new to the beauty game and I’m always up for trying new products. Of course, I’ll continue to share my new discoveries with my readers! If you missed the last one, I tried 4 products last fall that you should check out. When I published the review, Good Molecules featured me on their IG account and sent me some more of their products to try. It was definitely not tied to a review but I’m including it here because I’ve recently become a fan of this brand and wanted to see how their others products work on my sensitive skin.

Even though this beauty review contains a lot of Good Molecule products, it’s not a sponsored post. I’m just fangirling. Like the previous review, I slowly incorporated each of these beauty products into my routine and used them for at least a month – unless I had a severe reaction – to see how my skin likes the product. So,let’s get into this review.

GOOD MOLECULES NIACINAMIDE BRIGHTENING TONER

I raved many times about my all-time favorite toner but I’m excited to say that I’ve found a number two! I absolutely love the Niacinamide Brightening Toner. Also, I’ve been looking for a way to incorporate Niacinamide into my routine and this was the perfect way. I love that it comes in a glass container! Though, the entire time I was using it, I was a bit leary of dropping and breaking it #clusmygirlproblems. The consistency was not heavy at all and it glides onto my skin so nicely. I also enjoyed the fact that the toner didn’t have any heavy scents nor does it have any alcohol!

This $14 product does everything you need it to do. Now, did I notice any brightening? Not particularly but there’s no love lost over here. My skin thoroughly enjoyed this product. I will say that you have to shake the bottle to get the product onto the cotton pad but I think this helps with waste. Because it doesn’t pour out, you get longer use for your money.

GOOD MOLECULES VITAMIN C BOOSTER POWDER

I will have to admit, I had some reservations about a Vitamin C Booster Powder. There were so many questions, one that was prominent in my mind was how does it work?! Luckily, it came with instructions (image that). The reason the VItamin C is in powder form because you can mix the product with serums, creams, or moisturizers to boost your favorite product. The powder comes with the tiniest spoon to distribute the product. The directions call for a spoonful no more than 3 days a week. I mixed the Vitamin C with my moisturizer to make it easy to dissolve. I’ve been using it since November and as you can see, still have yet to make a real dent in the product.

When I first started using the product, it did make my skin tingle. The tingling subsided when it became a regular part of my routine. About the product, I’ve noticed smoother, glowing skin. It’s definitely a new staple that I will be keeping in my routine. It’s also only $8! It’s one of the reasons why Good Molecules is becoming a staple into my routine. It goes to show that you don’t have to spend an arm and leg to get good beauty products with great ingredients.

GOOD MOLECULES COLOR CORRECTION

I really wanted to like the Discoloration Correction Serum. There’s some discoloration on my face and I wanted it to work. I used this product two times and it broke me out so bad that I had to stop my usual routine and use the bare minimum – face wash, moisturizer, and sunscreen. I’ve never experienced this sort of break out before so there’s a first there. I left this product with my cousin because it agreed with his skin better than mine.

GOOD MOLECULES ROSEWATER DAILY CLEANSING GEL

This reminds me so much of my Tula Purifying Face Cleasner, except this one has rosewater (one of my favorite ingredients). The Rosewater Daily Cleansing Gel’s consistency is the same and it doesn’t make my skin feel extra dry and it’s a foaming cleanser. So basically it was bound to win in my book. Even though there’s rosewater in the cleaner, there’s not a strong or overpowering scent. Which is perfect for my sensitive skin. Because it is a foaming cleasning, a little goes a long way which is why I haven’t made a huge dent.

TEDDIE ORANGICS ORGANIC ROSEHIP OIL

So, I talked about wanting to change my Rosehip oil because I wasn’t the biggest fan of the smell and I wanted to try something new. I forgot how I stumbled across the Organic Rosehip Oil, but it was probably because I went down an Amazon rabbithole. The $12 rosehip oil had high praise from the reviewers so I decided to add it to my cart. Typically, I use rosehip oil at night but you can you this day and night. I love that it’s completely organic and not scented! I add a few drops as a finisher to my nighttime routine and my skin always have this wonderful glow for bed.

THE CHEMISTRY BRAND HYALURONIC CONCENTRATE

Ok, so this isn’t a face product but it definitely still a skincare brand so I figured I discuss it. I had an epiphany about using hyaluronic acid on my body since it’s been doing wonders for my face. Clearly, I’m behind on this because there are a couple of companies that have created hyaluronic acid products for your body. I actually had my eye on Necessaire, the brand that everyone is raving about. But when I saw it was $45 for 5 ounces, I decided to look for something more reasonably priced (though I did end up eventually purchasing Necessaire but that’s a review coming for another day). I stumbled across the Chemistry Brand, which I didn’t discover, until after I got the product, is a Deciem product. You know, the company that makes The Ordinary products? My subconscious clearly draws me to this brand when I’m not even trying! Lol.

The Hyaluronic Concentrate is 8 ounces for $28. It lasted me a little over a month. The product has a gel like consistency that I didn’t think would work well on my skin. The ocnsistency is similar to a gel hand santizer. They hyaluronic acid rubs in quite nicely so it doesn’t make your skin feel sticky at all, which is something I was concerned about when I first opened it. Using the product, I would put it on my skin first when I get out of the shower then follow it with one of my favorite The Body Shop lotion. After a month of use, there was no noticeable difference in how hydrated my skin felt. It felt that same way when I use my lotion by itself. So, in my mind, it was a waste of money for the same level of hydration. I guess I was expecting my skin to feel the same way my face does whenever I add hyaluronic acid. My review of the Necessaire brand is coming so you can hear about whether hylauronic acid for your body is worth the money.
