So many of the bloggers I follow have raved about Rothy’s, so I decided to purchase a pair. I purchased these in October 2021, and while we still aren’t in the office, I knew that I would need them for the increased in-person external meetings. I wanted to find a work shoe that was both cute and comfortable. Cue Rothy’s The Point. I reached for this shoe not only because everyone raved about them but also the fact that it’s machine washable!

THE POINT SIZING
Typically, I’m a size 9 in most shoes, and depending on the fit of sandals, I can pull off an 8.5. I had to return this shoe twice to get the right fit. The pair that I own are a size 10. I’ve always had that ability to fit narrow shoes easily. However, the toe of these shoes is a little too narrow for me, so I had to go up a full size. The website does recommend going up half a size for a narrow fit, which is where I fall, but half a size was not enough for me. The good news is the exchange process was super easy and free.
COMFORT OF THE POINT
Aside from the snafu of the sizing, the shoe is quite comfortable. I feel like I’ve spent my entire life looking for the right work shoe – I’ve been through my fair share of work flats over the years to prove it. The work shoes I’ve bought in the past tend to wear out their comfort within a matter of months. I’ve had these for 6 months now, and I still find them to be comfortable. Though, it should be noted that I haven’t washed them yet to see if that changes the comfortable level.
STYLE
I have always been a huge fan of pointed-toe shoes – I just can’t get behind the new trend of square-toed shoes and sandals. So I knew when I decided which type to purchase I knew the Point would work for me and my style. I chose ecru because I needed the color that would work for every possible color combination or color palette that I wear. While I wear these shoes primarily for work, I’ve worn them with many casual outfits (seen here and here).
FINAL VERDICT
I highly recommend purchasing these flats! They are comfortable, washable, and come in various colors to match your style. While I haven’t tried the other styles (the sneaker, square, lace up, or flat, to name a few), I plan to buy more colors in the point and possibly try the sneaker next.
