RECENT ACTIVEWEAR FAVORITES

I have been working out a lot more, running the gym, and adding pilates to my regimen this month! All this means is that I practically live in activewear now. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve always been a bit judgemental about folks that wear activewear all the time. However, I see that appeal, especially when all you do is work out these days. So, I decided to share some of my recent activewear favorites with you.

ASICS GT-1000 10

I am a runner and started noticing a few years ago that my flat feet do not like running in Nike shoes. It all felt sudden, and I was devastated because Nike is one of my favorite brands for workout clothes. I searched for shoe brands to aid my overpronation feet and discovered Asics. I haven’t looked back since. I’m a fan of the GT-1000 model; my last two pairs were 6 and 8, respectively. So, it was no surprise that when I was looking for new shoes, the 10s were on my radar.

I always wait too long to change shoes – my soles tend to wear down when I realize it’s time for new shoes. It felt like a dream when I ran in the 10s the first time. The cushion in the shoe

NIKE FREE TR8

I have tried working out at the gym in my Asics, and they have the same flexibility that I need on the ground. So, when I purchased my gym membership, I knew I needed shoes specific for the gym. I heard and read many great reviews for the Nike Free Tr8.

I absolutely love this shoe. It provides the flexibility I need in the gym and stability for my ankles. If you are looking for gym shoes, I recommend these.

OLD NAVY ACTIVEWEAR

So hear me out. I think it was during the pandemic that a few influencers raved about Old Navy‘s activewear. I brushed it off as a sponsored post and didn’t think anything of it. Fast forward to the top of this year when I needed a few items I didn’t want to spend much money on. I purchased some items intending to return them because I didn’t expect them to work out for me.

Imagine my surprise when the PowerSoft and PowerPress leggings and shorts not only fit, they were high waist and decent quality for the price. While the leggings (both the PowerSoft and PowerPress) are not the best running tights – they fall when you run – the shorts are great! I wear them running and to the gym with no concerns when doing squats. I wear the leggings when running errands, working from home, or going for a walk.

SWEATY BETTY LEGGINGS

I discovered Sweaty Betty from a couple of people I follow. When I first heard the name, I thought they were referring to someone until it clicked that it was the brand’s name. Everyone that has worn this brand has raved about it. So, last winter, when I needed some new winter running tights, I bought the Eco Therma Running Leggings (not currently available on the website).

My first impression was wow. The leggings are high waist, and THEY DON’T FALL WHEN YOU RUN. This is my complaint with Nike running winter tights, so I was pleasantly surprised on my first run on how they held up! Like, Lululemon, Sweaty Betty costs some money – rightfully so, all their leggings are high waist, and the quality is impressive – so purchases from this brand are limited to when they go on sale.

BALEAF ACTIVEWEAR

For quick and efficient activewear, I look at Amazon. This store has everything you don’t need but never know if it will work out for you. I was looking for solid color shorts and discovered Baleaf. With hundreds of positive reviews, I decided to make the purchase. These shorts have become a staple in my workout regime, and have purchased other things, including these crop tops that I wear to the gym.
