ONE ITEM 3 WAYS – UTILITY DRESS PART I

Welcome back to another installment of one item 3 ways. This is where I pick one item to style in three different ways (parts II and III). Whenever I buy new items, I want to ensure I get the best bang for my buck. If I can’t think of multiple ways I can wear it, I (usually) don’t buy it. For this series, I’m styling a utility dress from Walmart. Yes, you read that correctly. Walmart has stepped its game up. While I don’t shop there often, there are a few items that have caught my attention – namely, these blazers that I bought last year.

When I laid eyes on this utility dress, I just knew I had to have it. I knew by structure, shape, and color that this dress would be versatile and made for every season, and the quality confirmed that it would last for a while. I’ve actually worn variations of this dress just about every week since it arrived and have received compliments every time. It goes to show that you can literally find clothes any and everywhere.

STYLING THE UTILITY DRESS

For this first look, I decided to wear it as its original intent: a dress. I kept the look pretty neutral for a causal fall day or a causal bit to eat with friends/family. The snake print booties are the perfect pop of print for the neutral palette. I absolutely love the way this look compliments the nature that I’m surrounded by. Come back next week for how I styled look number 2.
