ONE ITEM 3 WAYS – POLKA DOT DRESS PART I

Welcome back to another installment of one item 3 ways. This is where I pick one item to style in three different ways (parts II and III). Whenever I buy new items, I want to ensure I’m getting the best bang for my buck. If I can’t think of multiple ways I can wear it, I (usually) don’t buy it. I’m styling a polka dot dress for this series, which I stumbled on in Target.

I looked through my closet and realized that I don’t have many dresses for summer. I have noticed that I clearly prefer skirts for the summer. So in an effort to switch that up, I have been on the hunt for easy dresses for this summer. I found this polka dot dress on Target’s website and knew that it had to be mine.

I was drawn, but the polka dots and the neutral color palette will make it easy to mix and match with other prints and colors. Also, this dress will make it easy to transition to the cooler months.

For this first look, I’ve been itching to try the half-tucked style that all the cool girls have been doing. I’m still not convinced that I figured out how to properly tuck this polka dot dress in, but the pictures show otherwise.

I specifically paired this dress with one of my work pants and Rothy’s because I knew this would be the perfect look for work on a casual Friday. Overall, I really like the way this look turned out. I hope you come back for part II of this series to see how I styled it next.
