ONE ITEM 3 WAYS – UTILITY DRESS PART II

Welcome back to another installment of one item 3 ways. This is where I pick one item to style in three different ways (parts I and III). Whenever I buy new items, I want to ensure I get the best bang for my buck. If I can’t think of multiple ways to wear it, I (usually) don’t buy it. For this series, I’m styling a utility dress from Walmart.

I have literally worn and styled this dress differently every week since I bought it. Don’t sleep on Free Assembly at Walmart. The quality of the few pieces I’ve purchased is outstanding and the price ain’t bad either. I decided to style the utility dress for work, which I’ve actually worn this look in real life.

To style the utility dress, I decided to wear the dress as a blazer/overcoat for my look. For the all black look, the coat acts as a color block to break it up – even though it’s a neutral color. I decided to keep the belt for this look to accentuate my waist since the dress is a little oversized.

Come back next week for the third and final look for this dress.
