ONE ITEM 3 WAYS – TRENCH DRESS PART I

Welcome back to another installment of one item 3 ways. This is where I pick one item to style in three different ways (parts II and III). Any time I buy new items, I want to make sure I’m getting the best bang for my buck. If I can’t think of multiple ways I can wear it, I (usually) don’t buy it. For this look, I styled this beautiful trench dress 3 ways.

I was on a hunt for a new trench coat but stumbled on this beautiful African Print coat from Ofuure. When I purchased it, I didn’t realize how long it is on my 5’4″ frame, the heels help make me look taller. I’m still debating whether I want to get this trench tailored to come up to mid-shin rather than my ankles. I like the way it looks when I wear it buttoned up, but once you open it up, the coat is a little too long (you’ll see this in parts two and three). So, I’m officially on the hunt for a seamstress.

I love the print of this trench! While I am still on the hunt for a neutral color trench, I love that this trench matches my color closet. Since the trench was so long, naturally, I decided to style it as a dress. Even though it is a trench, I would totally wear this to work (you know when we go back to the office) or any place that has a dressy casual dress code.

This shoot was the first time that I wore stiletto heels since the start of the pandemic. And I must admit, I was quite proud of myself that I didn’t stumble the entire time that I had these on. And they didn’t hurt either! Okay, maybe it was because I only had them on for a short time but still! I was quite impressed. I hope you come back for part II of this series to see how I styled it next.
