Hey, y’all! 2016 is a wash. This week, like many weeks, has been rough because just when you think the world can’t get any worse, it does. This week, there were three deaths of unarmed black people. I am seriously at a loss of words for the current state of affairs, re: being black in America.
It has gotten to the point where I don’t want wake up in the morning anymore because you know there’s going to be another hashtag with another unarmed person dying.
I have no more words or any ideas of what we can do. That’s the frustrating thing about everything. Something needs to be done but we don’t know where to start or what to do. I’m not sure if anything can change. So the question remains: Do black lives even matter in the “land of the free?”
Practice some self-care this weekend and take care of yourself.
