Y’all know I live for Target. Especially when there’s a collaboration that gives me the opportunity to purchase from a designer that I wouldn’t be able to afford. Christopher John Rogers is Target’s most recent collaboration. Ever since I discovered him a few years ago, I live for his colorful combinations in his collections. A color addict, I just knew I had to get my hands on something from his Target collections.

This dress was high on my list of items to get from the collection. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get anything else but I’m happy that I was able to get this dress. When I was out shooting this look, the compliments kept coming in. Rightfully so. This dress is gorgeous! It also doesn’t hurt that my skin looks like buttaa!
All of the stylings that I saw of this dress were quite formal. So, I knew I wanted to go with a more casual styling of this dress. And I think I hit the mark with this one. The open buttons are my favorite part of the styling. The unbuttoned portion of the bottom of the dress was intentional, the one at the top was not. ?
I tried every trick in the book to keep that top button buttoned. It?? Did?? Not?? Want?? To?? Stay?? Closed. So, I let it do what it did and am taking the credit for how it turned out.
Another feature that I love about this dress is the pockets! I mean, who doesn’t love a dress with pockets! I’m really happy that I got a chance to grab up this dress. I’ve been stalking Target’s website to see if I can grab a few more from the collection. If you haven’t shopped the collection, I hope you do and may the odds be ever in your favor!
