In a recent post, I talked about my relationship with shorts. Because I love to beat a dead horse, I styled another pair of shorts from Zara to further solidify my point. Before I get into everything I love about these printed shorts, let’s get into these photos. When I received the proofs from Dorese, my mouth literally dropped open! Because I rarely have on real clothes these days, I’m always surprised about how great I look when I do! But to be honest, I was fangirling my skin!! Whew. I can’t believe that I look like this in real life. We turned off the lights in some of the photos and my skin decided to show out in that natural light.

And to answer your already forming question, I literally don’t do anything but bathe (because I’m learning that some of y’all are out here on Beyonce’s internet talking bout how y’all don’t bathe) and put lotion on my skin. Occasionally, I’ll exfoliate when I remember to. But dassit. The rest is God and genetics.
Okay, let’s talk about these printed shorts! The waistband is ELASTIC. I would like to buy a drink for whoever created elastic and the fantastic person who thought to add it to women’s pants! The great thing about the elastic in these shorts means that I’ll always be able to wear them no matter if I gain or lose weight.
The second great thing about these printed shorts is that the leg opening is flowy. As someone who’s a member of the thick thigh club, I hate when my thighs feel so restricted that it makes it difficult to move. I didn’t know I need shorts with a flowy leg opening until I put on these shorts. The only downside is if it’s a strong wind day, a little too much will be shown.
I also love a good gingham print and this seafoam green does wonders for my skin — clearly. I’m really excited to add more shorts – and style them – to my wardrobe as the year goes on; especially when fall arrives. I really like the look of shorts and over-the-knee boots. I also have a couple of trips planned to tropical locations at the end of the year so I’ll still be able to wear them come cooler temps.
