ONE MIDI DRESS TWO WAYS FOR SUMMER

With summer-like temperatures hitting Cincinnati, it’s time to start going out more and wearing less. Or at least trying to find comfortable yet cute dresses to wear when leaving the house naked is inappropriate. I bought this English factory midi dress last December when it was on sale at ShopBop. I have taken it on every warm vacation trip this year but didn’t get a chance to wear it. But I definitely will be wearing this every chance I get this summer so I’m showing you two ways to style this midi dress.

ONE MIDI DRESS TWO WAYS

One thing about me and summer is I’m either in a dress and I might have my back out. If I can do both things in one item, it’s a win for me. Add pockets and I’m a happy camper. This English Facorty dress is the trifecta for me. Because I need to get the most wear out of all my clothes, so it doesn’t feel like I’m wasting money, it’s important that I can wear each item multiple ways.

DRESSED DOWN WITH SNEAKERS

One way to style this midi dress is to dress it down with a jeans jacket and sneakers. As someone who is perpetually cold, despite how warm it is, I always try to have something to keep me warm. I knew when I was thinking about dressing this down, it would likely be for a casual Friday in the office. Adding a jeans jacket and Converse removes the sexiness of the backless feature and keeps it pretty conservative for the office.

DRESSED UP WITH HEELS

To dress up this dress, and play up the sexiness of the back, I added heels to take from day to night. These Rebecca Allen heels add height to the dress and are perfect for a date night look in this dress. Because the orange is all the color I need for this look, I kept my accessories neutral to avoid taking away from the dress.
