HOW TO: SOFT LOCS TUTORIAL

The last time I did individual crochet locs, I said I wouldn’t do them again because it’s such a tedious process of pulling your hair through the crochet to hide your braids. As much I love the look of locs, I knew I wouldn’t put them back in my hair unless someone did them for me or I found a new technique. Well, the new technique is called soft locs. This is where you use crochet locs with wrapping hair to achieve the style. And because I’m in the process of growing waist-length hair, I’m all about protective styles at the moment. Let’s get into this soft loc tutorial.

TIPS

Soft locs take time, so don’t be like me, and make sure you give yourself enough time to get it done. When wrapping the hair around the crochet locs, it may take you a minute to get your hand placements correct to get the hang of it.
