FLAT TWIST STYLE TUTORIAL

Hey, y’all! The weather has finally got the memo this week and it’s starting to feel like Fall. As such, it’s time to go into protective style mode to promote growth but also because I’m tired of doing my hair. I find when the latter is occurring, it’s time to put my hair away so I can miss it.

PRODUCTS AND STYLING

This style is my go-to style whenever I go back to protective styling. I should warn you that it’s not a quick style but it is cute and typically lasts me 2 weeks. My whipped shea butter mix is used to moisturize my hair. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is added to the scalp and my edges to keep it healthy. I part my hair in two sections, separating the crown of my hair from the rest. The hair around the crown is used to create flat twists around my head going up. I do not flat twist the front section of my hair because I use Marley hair to add length and make it more malleable to style.
