Hey, y’all! Who doesn’t love flamingos on their clothes? I picked up this cute dress at TJ Maxx, my favorite store, and fell in love. And I have beads in my hair?! It makes for a great summer outfit. Honestly, flamingoes and hair beads are reminiscent of childhood memories.

I have been sitting on this news for a while now and I didn’t want to say anything until I was able to tell everyone in my personal life. So, now that everyone in my personal life knows, I think it’s time for me to share the news with my blog family…I’m moving to DC this August to start a new journey in my life. I bet you thought it was something more dramatic than that huh? Lol.

I’ve lived in Cincinnati for the past 6 years and boy has it been a journey. There have been many ups and downs but I’ve learned to embrace the journey and enjoy the ride…sometimes. I’ve always said that I have a love/hate relationship with this city. But in the end, it has truly grown on me. Mostly due to the fact that I’ve built a community here…really a family. Enough with the sentiments: let’s get into why I’m moving!

I’ll be going back to school this fall. Basically, I’m a habitual student because I love school so much (can you hear the sarcasm?)! The start of this next chapter in my life is truly bittersweet; sweet because I’m excited and finally feel it’s a step in the direction of where my heart is truly leading me. Bitter because I’ve developed so many meaningful relationships (really like family) over the years and I’m sad that I won’t get to see them as often as I do.

So these next two months will be crazy with me trying to find a place to live and packing (I hate this part). I will do my best to document everything and keep y’all in the loop of what’s happening. Please forgive me, though, if things don’t go as planned or if I’m a bit distance.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
