Hey, y’all! I learned something new while doing this shoot: you can get a reader card to access the Reading Room in the Library of Congress! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take pictures in the Reading Room but we did get some pictures in the Great Hall.
The artistry of the Great Hall is beautiful and pictures don’t do it any justice. The lighting in the room wasn’t the best so we were only able to take a few pictures. Either way, if you’re in DC, you should definitely get a reader card so you can experience the perks of the Library of Congress.
This outfit was taken in early April where we had a nice warm day that Friday. On Saturday, when we took pictures, the temperatures had dropped and the wind was very aggressive! Hence the faux fur vest and teal dress in April!
This weekend was so surreal for me. It all began on Friday. I ran for Graduate Student Council President and won! I honestly was shocked that so many people believed that I would be the best person to represent them. It’s a task that I do not and will not take lightly. I hope that I live up to everything that you hope.
Saturday was our annual Gala. It was so much fun! Everyone was beautifully dressed, the DJ was great, and it was an all-around great time. Plus, the weather finally warmed up so it made the weekend better.
Here’s hoping that the week is just as enjoyable.
