Hey, y’all! What a weekend! I went home for Mother’s Day this weekend and it’s always nice to be home. I always have a wonderful time with my family and it just reminds me of how much I miss them! Even though I speak with them all the time, sometimes it’s better when you can be in their presence.
I got here Friday and was so tired, I slept most of the day. Saturday, the plan was to surprise my mom with a spa day. However, that didn’t work out well because she knew where she was going, so it wasn’t much of a surprise. Sunday, we took her out to a Brazilian restaurant and she really loved it. All in all, Mother’s Day weekend was a success because she enjoyed herself and the time we spent with her. That’s all I can ask because she’s done so much for us!
I am happy that I get back on Monday because it gives me some time to catch up on some items on my personal to-do list without having to worry about work until Tuesday. This is crucial for me, especially since I have to fly back out on Tuesday for another work trip.
