BLUE & GREEN

I clearly have been on a color block kick for the last few weeks. Today’s fun combo is one of my favorites – blue & green! I love the unexpected ways that my super-duper old green coat has come in clutch with all my color combos. It’s a purchase that I definitely don’t regret all these years later. Anyways I feel like the colors blue and green are always associated with a peacock. Don’t believe me? Just do a random blue & green google search and see what comes up. I wanted to show that peacocks don’t have the monopoly on this color combo.

Before we get into the details of this look, let’s talk about the elephant in the room – these wrinkly pants! Listen! I ironed these pants before I left my house for these photos. But obviously, I didn’t iron it efficiently because I look crazy! I honestly don’t know how I left the house looking this! Lol. I’m grateful for Dorese’s attempt to edit out these wrinkles but clearly, the wrinkles were here to stay!

Anyways, aside from the color combo, my favorite part of the look is the sleeves on my sweater. I love a good exaggerated sleeve on a sweater. It’s a great way to jazz up a winter look, especially if it’s a monochromatic look. This was a great find at TJ Maxx. I highly recommend that store for everything but especially for cute, cost-effective sweaters and other accent pieces.

When we shot these photos, I wasn’t expecting it to be as warm as it got which is why there are many photos without the jacket and my sweater sleeves semi-rolled up. While they look…interesting in these photos, I can’t complain about the weather warming up because I am over winter!

One thing that I plan on incorporating this spring and summer is high waist everything and more culottes. I forgot how much I love culottes and I’m looking for every way that I can to get my hands on more culottes. This is, of course, all in hopes that COVID starts to subside and we actually get to enjoy summer this year.

SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS BLUE & GREEN LOOK?
