I’ve known about the Teva brand most of my life but was never interested in purchasing. I didn’t like how they looked and felt I needed to be an outdoorsy person to wear them. Two years ago, I saw a few bloggers wearing the midforms and was shocked to learn that it was Teva. The design was more fashion forward than what I was used to and was excited to try the brand. I bought my first pair then and never looked back. Today, I’m sharing my Teva sandal review. Spoiler alert: I love these shoes so much! They are my go to sandals in the summer.

ABOUT TEVA
According to their website, the original sandal was birthed out of necessity in the Grand Canyon to prevent sandals from floating downstream. The two velcro sandal is iconic to the brand, created to give people the freedom to roam. Their signature straps are continually reimagined in various patterns by their global designers. In 2020, they transitioned 100% of their conic straps to traceable, verifiable recycled plastic using REPREVE® yarn.
TEVA SANDAL REVIEW: THE ORIGINAL UNIVERSAL
STYLE
The Teva sandal comes in different colors, shapes, and heights. From the original universal to the midform, to the flatform, there’s a style for everyone. I prefer the original universal because it’s an easy sandal that goes with everything. My favorite and most complimented pair is the 90s multi because it allows me to add color to my feet and outfit whenever needed. The midform is another favorite because it gives me the extra height I crave without sacrificing comfort.
SIZING & COMFORT
I’ve found these shoes to be true to size. I’m a size 9 in most shoes and these fit them perfectly. I have sandals in both the midform and original universal and the size 9 works in both styles.
As someone who has flatfeet, the type of shoe, especially sandals, I wear is very important not to have my feet hurting a few minutes after putting them on. I especially can’t wear anything that has no cushion in the sole. This is not the case with the Teva sandals. These are the most comfortable sandals that I’ve ever owned. The ridges on the sole of these sandals are so comfortable and smooth; every time I take them off, the bottom of my foot is so soft. I can also walk in them for hours without any pain.
PRICING
The original universal sandals are $55 and the other styles range from $75. For the wear, comfort, and durability of these sandals, this is relatively more cost-effective than other brand sandals you’ll likely have to replace yearly. In addition to being great for your wallet, the brand is great for the environment. They created Teva Forever where you can ship your old Tevas, no matter the condition, back to be recycled so your shoes will never see a landfill.
FINAL VERDICT
I absolutely love these sandals. When the weather starts to warm up, it’s the only thing I reach for. They are durable, comfortable, fashionable, and easy on your wallet. If you’re looking for a new sandal to add to your summer wardrobe, I highly recommend them.
