HOW TO STYLE GREEN FAUX LEATHER SKIRT

Before we get started…THIS OUTFIT IS GIVING EVERYTHING IT’S SUPPOSED TO GIVE. The skirt. The face. The coat. This was my favorite shoot by far! The one thing I did forget to add was lipstick. I had my mask on and when I took it off, we started shooting and completely forgot that I didn’t have anything on until Dorese showed me pictures. By then we had taken too many to take up the time to reshoot. But regardless of the lip, I still look really good here. I stumbled across this faux leather skirt on Amazon and decided to try it out. The color and shape of the skirt really took my breath away and I just knew I had to get it. So, I’m sharing with you today how to style a green faux leather skirt.

MONOCHROME

I’m a sucker for anything with color, especially if it’s a monochrome look. Because the faux leather skirt is the star of the show, I wanted to keep the entire look pretty simple. So, I opted for this seafoam green turtleneck that complimented the skirt. Because the skirt is high-waisted, I needed a top that was more fitted to ensure that the skirt didn’t get lost in the look.

PRINT & TEXTURE

Because leopard print is neutral, it was the perfect addition to this look while also adding another layer of texture to the look. The best way to add interest to any outfit is to play with the texture. It’s an easy way to take a risk in your look.

POINTED TOE

Because I wasn’t doing a tall heel, I knew a pointed toe shoe would be the best option. Pointed toe shoes elongate your look. Since I like to appear taller than I actually am, I knew these booties would be the perfect addition to this high waisted skirt. Also, since the skirt is a midi, anything but a pointed toe show would make me look short and stumpy.
