Hey, y’all! On September 11th, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser declared a state of emergency in the District in response to Hurricane Florence. It’s September 16th and I’m still waiting to see a drop of rain. I’m actually looking outside of my window right now and the sun is shining. ?Needless to say, the remnants of Hurricane Florence did not hit my area. But who knows what tomorrow will bring.

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to go to the 6th Annual Naturalista Expo. I got a ton of free product, which is always great because free products are the best products. But I also got to see some of the ladies that I’ve been following for a while like Whitney White of Naptural85, one of the OGs of natural hair vlogging.

While the space was a bit small, there were lots to do, see, and buy. There were different workshops throughout the day that talked about everything from self-care to Afro dance. There were also different panels on the various stages about mental health, fashion, and self-love.

There were also so many vendors there that were new to me and many that I have bought from previously. I also may or may not have bought another headwrap. I just can’t help it! I have a problem! It’s okay though because I will be wearing it on the blog soon! Overall, I had a fun time at the expo this weekend and I look forward to next year.

In other news, this is the second outfit that we shot at the National Cathedral and these pictures definitely blew my mind. Especially the third photo that makes me look so small next to the backdrop of the Cathedral.

Meanwhile, it’s still crop top weather over here (really, crop tops are year-round) but this top would make a great transition for fall by adding a shirt underneath the top or just adding a jacket.
