Hey, y’all! The older I get, the more I’ve been incorporating black in my closet. But of course, knowing me, it’s not the typical black. Nope, it’s a perforated faux leather dress that I, of course, add colorful accessories to accompany. My favorite headwrap and my favorite bag at the moment. The great thing about this faux leather dress is that it’s not too thick so you don’t get too hot in the summer. I’ve had this dress for a while and have been able to wear it at some point during all four seasons.
Yesterday while taking pictures, I had a near-death experience. Okay, that’s a bit dramatic but something not so great did occur while I was taking pictures. So, I was at one of my favorite spots to take pictures, which isn’t in the best area, but I love the blue wall! I was minding my business taking pictures and all of a sudden, I hear arguing in one of the buildings next to where I’m taking pictures. All of a sudden, a man on a bike comes running out of the building and a man with a shovel is chasing after him.
Yes, you read that right. The man had a shovel. A. SHOVEL. In his hand and chasing the man on the bike. Me being nosy, I continue taking pictures while side-eyeing what’s going on. Then, the man on the bike proceeds to pull a hammer. OUT. OF. HIS. POCKET. His pocket y’all! Because it’s a normal thing to walk around with a hammer in your pocket. The man pulls it out of his pocket and THROWS the hammer at the man with the shovel!
He misses and almost hits my camera and me! It was then that I decided that it was time to go. In heels, I ran as fast as I could to my car with all my equipment in hand and got the hell out of there!
Moral of the story: don’t stick around when two men with household tools are trying to clobber each other. You might get hit!
