WHAT TO WEAR FOR SPRING WHEN IT’S STILL COLD OUTSIDE

Today is the first day of Spring, yet winter is still here. 🥴 Living in Cincinnati means that when we hit March, the weather is very inconsistent – very different from growing up in Atlanta, where by March, it was warm. Even though I’m excited about spring, cold temperatures make it difficult to dress for spring. I’ve found that in order to embrace spring when it’s cold, there are a few tips that I incorporate into my outfits to stay warm and keep me looking good.

WEAR SPRING COLORS

Even though it’s still cold outside, that doesn’t mean that you can’t wear your spring clothes. And your spring clothes are likely looks of bold hues or pastels. To mitigate the drab winter temperatures, don’t be afraid to add those colors to your outfit. Here, I’m doing both a bold yellow with a pastel.

LAYER UP

While you’re out there in bold and bright colors, you should layer up to protect yourself from the elements of winter. Adding layers, as I did with my white shirt – and the dress you can’t see – is perfect for keeping me warm while being springtime stylish.

WEAR YOUR BOOTS

The great thing about spring is that it’s still sociably acceptable to wear your boots. Because it’s still cold out, wearing boots helps you stay warm yet fashionable.
