Hey, y’all! These adorable leopard print pants are from Old Navy and they are so comfortable! I also love that they are not too tight, which is always a problem for me buying dress pants. And it doesn’t hurt that it’s in one of my favorite prints…leopard! I bought a blush pair as you can see here and I plan on purchasing more colors!

Speaking of leopard, my mom used to say the phrase “Leopard Can’t Change its Spots” all the time growing up. To summarize, this describes a trait that is fixed in a person and doesn’t change no matter what. I’ve been thinking a lot about that phrase and how I don’t necessarily think it’s true (sorry mom)! I would like to argue, even implore you, that no matter what age you are, you should be able to change your spots.

LEARNING NEW THINGS MAKES YOU GROW

Not a day goes by that I don’t hear myself saying “you truly learn new things every day!” I’ve been saying that a lot more recently since I’ve headed back to school. But you should always strive to learn something new every day. Make your daily goal to try something new to help you grow. I don’t know about you but I want to look back 50 years from now (God-willing) and remember all the new and exciting risks that I took.

YOU DON’T KNOW UNTIL YOU TRY

There have been so many times that I prevented myself from trying something new because I decided judged that that activity was not for me! Then, unwillingly at first, I end up trying that activity and finding out that it was fun and it becomes something that I’ve incorporated into my daily routine. If I had stuck to my judgemental ways, I would not have taken the opportunity to learn a new thing or even jump at a new opportunity.

Anyways, I hope that this post has inspired you to change your spots, or at least rearrange them, to try new things. You’re not living if you aren’t experiencing new things.

What new “spots” are you willing/trying to change?

As always, thanks for stopping by!
