Hey, y’all! If you follow me on Instagram- if you don’t, stopping reading this and go follow me now- you know a while back, I posted this dress on my Instastories. I wore this to a friend’s wedding in Florida. I got so many compliments that I decided to do a full blog post about this dress.

Backstory: I had no idea what I was going to wear to this wedding but really wanted to wear something involving African print. It was too late (yeah, yeah I’m a procrastinator) to get something custom made so I searched high and low and stumbled upon Veroexshop‘s Etsy shop. As you know, I love anything off the shoulder and this dress was just calling my name! So I pulled the trigger and I’m really glad that I did!

So, I had the chance to wear this dress the second time around. I wore it this weekend to a cotillion. One of the great things about this dress are the pockets. I live for a dress with pockets! It was great to put my phone in while on the dance floor and not have to worry about losing it.

As you’ve noticed, there’s been some changes to the blog. I’ve switched platforms and updated my site from Squarespace to WordPress. Not that anything is wrong with Squarespace, but in my opinion, WordPress is more user-friendly. Especially for folks like me who are technically challenged! It was a much easier process to design this page (and quicker too) than it was to design my Squarespace page. Who knows, maybe I’ll switch back. For now, I’m happy with WordPress and will stick with it until I’m ready to switch.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
