4 MORE PLACES TO SHOOT IN CINCINNATI

Cincinnati may be a small city, but there are a lot of great places to shoot content. I wrote about 8 places to shoot in Cincinnati and decided to follow up with 4 more places to shoot because I didn’t add all of the places I’ve shot at on the previous list, and I’ve discovered more places to shoot in Cincinnati with my new photographer. If you’re looking for studios to shoot in, I’ve already got you covered.

P&G LAWN PARK

PROCTER & GAMBLE LAWN PARK CINCINNATI 45202

Apparently, this is a spot for engagement photos because a few couples were taking engagement pictures the two times I’ve shot here. This is a beautiful green space in front of the Proctor and Gamble building downtown. There are also a lot of different angles around the green space that you can take photos in so the background doesn’t look too repetitive.

There’s a lot of street parking right outside the lawn or a paid parking lot next door to the Taft Theater. However, parking in that lot might be a lot if there’s an event at Taft Theater. Bring your changing tent or plan to change in your car because there’s nowhere to change without giving everyone a show.

ROOFTOP DOWNTOWN

430 MAIN STREET

Last year, I wanted to shoot in this location several times in the summer, but the weather didn’t cooperate with us every time we made plans. It only took until the end of the year to get some shoots here. I love a good rooftop shoot because it provides a more gritty, city vibe and a different perspective of the city. I’ve only come here via rideshare, and it always dropped me off at Walgreens at the address I listed above. However, once you turn right on 5th Street, you should turn into the parking garage next to the PNC and go to the top to get to the spot. If there’s something happening downtown – Taft Theather or a Reds game – parking might be a little pricy, or the garage might be closed. There is no place to change so bring your changing tent or plan to change in your car.

GEORGE ROGERS CLARK PARK

301 RIVERSIDE DR, COVINGTON, KY 41011

This picturesque park is right across the bridge in Covington and provides great views of Cincinnati on the river. I honestly didn’t even know this park existed. It reminded me that I need to make more trips to Convington. While the park itself is a small space, the side streets surrounding the park are because homes and alleys that you can take photos next to. Like the other two spaces, there are no places to change, so bring your changing tent or plan to change in your car.

FINDLEY MARKET

1801 RACE STREET

Findley Market is another great place to shoot in Cincinnati. It’s the state’s oldest continuously operated public market. I love this place because you can get fresh items directly from farmers and many cute shops along the market to grab food, furniture, and plants. The market isn’t open on Mondays so it’s a great time to go and shoot if you want less foot traffic. However, it you would like a little foot traffic in the background, I would suggest going during the week rather than the weekends. The weekends get too crowded and you would get frustrated. I’m pretty sure there’s a public restroom inside where you can change, but since we shot on a Monday, I can’t confirm that. I would bring a changing tent as a backup.
