Hey, y’all! I’m all about my healthy hair journey! I got a trim back in April and since we’ve entered the month of July, I’ve noticed that it is time for another one. This has inspired me to write a post of why a trim is necessary. When I got my trim in April, it had been an embarrassing amount of time since my last one. After my hair appointment, I noticed a big difference in my hair! So, without further ado, I give you three reasons why you should get a trim!
EASY DETANGLING
Listen. When I first washed my hair to go from my straight hair to my curls, detangling was a breeze. Me thinking it was a fluke, I washed it again the following week. Imagine my surprise when my 4C hair was super easy to detangle! Typically, it takes a couple of times throughout my way day to get my hair completely detangled. I can only attribute this to my recent cut. Without it, I know that it would still take forever.

LIMITS SHEDDING
Another thing that I have noticed is the reduced amount of shedding that occurs. Color me surprised when I noticed the lack of hair gathering at my shower drain after a wash or even with my detangling. I love that I don’t have to see all of my hair whenever I wash my hair. It’s definitely a great perk from my trim.
HEALTHY ENDS
With a good trim, the ends of your hair are healthier. You cut away the split and raggedy ends. I’ve noticed more that I can see the end of the strands are curlier than they were before. My hair also just feels better when it’s trimmed.
