HAPPY NEW YEAR! One of the traditions that my mom insists on doing every New Year’s involves the type of food we eat on New Year’s day. We usually eat collard greens to see more money in the new year. So in the spirit of ushering in more money, I’m wearing green to enforce the fact that I would like to see more money this year! #closedmouthesdontgetfed
This black sweatshirt is so warm and soft. I also love the polka dot detail on this sweatshirt that makes it easy to dress it up. I love this necklace! It’s the perfect silver statement necklace that my closet has needed. It’s actually a two-piece set that will be a stable on the blog.
New Year always inspires everyone to make resolutions to improve or try new things. One thing that I would like to try this year is to keep a gratefulness journal. As I was reflecting on this past year, all I could think of were all the bad times (because they were very significant for me last year)! It was hard to think of the good things that had happened. To avoid that, I am writing down something good, no matter how small, that happens to me every day. This way, it will keep me present with all the blessings that I have.
I don’t know about y’all, but I’ll be spending the day kicking it with family and friends and cheering on dem Bulldawgs to make it to the championship game!
Happy New Year and I pray that God blesses you with all your heart’s desire!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
