So I’ve decided to do a two-month challenge to get myself in shape since I really have been in the running mood. The goal for the year was, like I always do, run 2 half-marathons. However, I’ve only ran a couple of times since the beginning of the year so no half for me. What have I been doing instead? Oh you know, just eating any and everything in my path. So I have added a couple of pounds because of this.
I didn’t realize how much my body had changed until I took the pictures you see below. Yikes!
Since I’m trying to get back to my normal weight, and get summer time fine, I figured I would challenge myself for the next two months to motivate myself to get back to running. So, I’ve decided that everyday in April and May, I am doing 50 pushups, 50 crunches, 50 squats, and 50 calf raises to push myself to get back into shape. Yikes.
Every Tuesday, until the challenge is over, I will post new pictures to show my progress. I also plan to take a healthier approach with my food choices. So, we’re just gonna pretend that the burger I ate on day 2 doesn’t count!
The video shows the circuits that I’m doing for week one. Next week, I hope to increase the level of difficulty of the workout just so I’m not doing the same thing for the next 8 weeks. But honestly, that depends on where I am physically.
I’m telling you this because I want accountability. Because this is out there, I don’t want to fall back on my word.
